Based on the germanium fuzzrite from the 60s
With the 3-way toggle switch pointing to the left, it effectively functions as a homage to the 60s fuzzrite. The purpose of the switch is to adjust the impedance of the clipping stage, resulting in a fuller overall tone. In my opinion, this setup produces a superior and more aggressive blend between the two stages. The middle position of the switch offers a particularly rude sound with more low end.
Notable features include a very low noise and hiss figure, coupled with a high output volume. The pedal utilizes 2x NOS Sanyo 2SB185 high gain germanium transistors, which have been measured, matched, and tested for noise. Additionally, it is designed to be daisy-chained with standard Boss-type pedals. (9vdc negative-centre)
The knob layout features “DEPTH” to the left and “VOLUME” to the right, providing straightforward control over the pedal’s sound characteristics. Also a PRE-GAIN knob (small knob), works as your guitars volume control. Clean up is very good with shimmering highs.
