Signal chain: Stratocaster, Diy 5w el84 amp with 8 inch speaker, Iphone video.
Same specs as the standard Z machine besides this ones uses following germanium transistors 1× 2n1309, 1x Unknown black glass germanium, OC44
The Z machine
Our best attempt to replicate the iconic sound of the very first version of the Zonk Machine from the 60s is evident in every aspect of this pedal. With the switch pointing down, the tone is characterized by a gated and sputtery effect, creating that unmistakable lo-fi character associated with the early circuit designs. Flip the switch up, and experience a lift in the gating effect, allowing for rich sustain and increased dynamics, which are essential for achieving that classic 60s garage sound.
On the left, the fuzz/bias knob controls the level of compression and sustain, while the volume knob to the right ensures you can adjust to your desired output.
The pedal is powered by carefully matched and tested germanium transistors, including the 2N1309, Unknown black glass low noise germanium , and the obsolete OC44. Constructed with several NOS components on stripboard with vintage spacing.
Designed to be daisy-chained with standard Boss-type pedals so it doesn’t require an isolated power supply. It can also be powered by a 9v battery.
New Square wave BD light green hammertone powder finish with brushed raw backplate
Size: 119×94×38mm
Free worldwide 1st class shipping. All prices exclude VAT; EU buyers will see VAT applied at checkout.
